Goodman wins approval for new warehouse in Coventry

Industrial and logistics developer Goodman has won planning approval for a 106,000 ft2 warehouse at Lyons Park, Coventry in the West Midlands.

The building features 12.5m eaves, 50m yard depth, 10 dock-level loading doors and 29 HGV spaces. It has been developed to a BREEAM ‘Excellent’ standard and targeting an A-rated EPC, key sustainability features include carbon neutral cladding, LED lighting and solar PV to offset the building’s power needs.

In addition to the warehouse there will also be new 173 space lorry park.

Planning for Lyons 106 builds on Goodman’s success at Lyons Park, having already delivered 800,000 ft2 of industrial and logistics space, including a 464,000 ft2 distribution facility for Amazon and a 135,000 ft2 space for Jaguar Land Rover.

Goodman will start on site at Lyons 106 this summer, with the facility available for occupation from January 2022. Letting agents are Avison Young, CBRE and Knight Frank.
