Great Bear wins transport contract with Weetabix

UK-based provider of third-party ambient logistics solutions Great Bear announced that it has been awarded a significant transport contract with Weetabix.

Working from the Weetabix site in Burton Latimer, Great Bear will handle the company’s transport and logistics operations for the next two years, with the contract having commenced in January 2023.

Great Bear says that ‘the contract includes factory clearance from Weetabix factories to the Burton Latimer warehouse, and all secondary work throughout the UK’. It adds that ‘the Great Bear Business Development and Solutions Team, in collaboration with the Operational Team, worked closely with Weetabix to design a tailored transport model that met the company’s specific needs’.

Alistair Isbister, Chief Executive of Great Bear, said: “We are thrilled to have won this contract with Weetabix. Our team is looking forward to providing efficient and effective logistics solutions to Weetabix, ensuring the smooth and timely delivery of their products to customers across the UK.

“We believe that our experience, expertise, empowered culture, and customer-centric approach will be invaluable in both meeting and exceeding the requirements of this contract.”

Great Bear joined Culina Group in 2016 and, according to the company, has seen ‘substantial growth and investment’ since.
