GST Stadler reinforces combined transport in 2010

New quality management system and measures to improve their environmental standards with GST Stadler

It is a period of changes and innovations for Stadler Güterverkehrs GmbH. Implementing a new quality management system and developing the “Stadler Green Carrier Concept“, the transport logistics enterprise based in the municipality of Peuerbach, Upper Austria, sets further accents regarding ISO certification and environmental issues.

According to their own definition the company group acting under the short name GST Stadler takes over a pioneering role with its “Stadler Green Carrier Concept“ in terms of CO2 reduction. “Solely the use of combined road/rail transport saved 726 tons of CO2 in the year 2009. In 2010 we want to even double this result“, the Management announces in a press release.

As a measure to increase quality, the ISO standard 9001:2000, expiring in spring, was changed to the nee quality standard ISO 9001:2008. The company was certified by TÜV Austria CERT. In parallel after a two-days audit GST Stadler received the „Ikea Iway Apporoval“ from its client Ikea for the following segments: Environment, Social, Health and Safety.

With around 1,400 employees at their locations in Austria, Germany, Belgium, the Netherlands, the Czech Republic, Poland and Romania GST Stadler is one of the biggest private transport companies in Austria.
