GT Nexus sues INTTRA

GT Nexus has filed a complaint in US District Court in San Jose, California, claiming its rival INTTRA is threatening to sue over alleged infringment of INTTRA patents.

The case refers to four common carrier system patents granted to INTTRA between February and July last year.

GT Nexus is asking the court to declare the patents invalid, that GT Nexus has not infringed on them, and order INTTRA to cease attempts to enforce the patents or claim GT Nexus is infringing on them.

INTTRA has responded to the complaint, saying the company consistently invests in research and development to provide advanced products and services to meet the needs of its clients and the industry, and points out that the US Patent Office granted INTTRA a number of patents to protect these proprietary technologies.

While INTTRA declined to comment on pending legal matters, the company has confirmed that it believes the case has no merit and it will actively defend its rights in court.
