Hellmann Healthcare Logistics launches new packaging solution

Hellmann Healthcare Logistics, the new vertical solution of Hellmann Worldwide Logistics, has teamed up with temperature-controlled packaging specialists, Cool Logistics India, to develop a specialist solution for its airfreight services from and within India.

With temperatures reaching up to 50°C in the summer and a lack of temperature-controlled holding and storage facilities available, maintaining temperature at 2-8°C and 15-25°C is one of the biggest challenges in India.

Hellmann Healthcare’s packaging solution in India caters for the transportation of goods via airfreight in the pharmaceutical supply chain, maintaining a temperature-controlled supply chain from beginning to end of the distribution.

Cool Logistics is working with Hellmann Healthcare in the design and validation stages, through to the manufacturing of the temperature-controlled packaging itself.

Andreas Lohmeier, director of Hellmann Healthcare Logistics, said that the passive element of the packaging minimises external intervention, reduces the need for temperature-controlled transport modes, increases product volume shipped and reduces overall freight costs.
