Honold Logistik expands its warehousing capacity
Utilisation vehicle manufacturer Kögel Trailer Tech settles cooperation with Honold Logistik Gruppe in the After Sales segment These days construction works for the MCC III project and preparations to serve a new customer are starting at the headquarters of Honold Logistik Gruppe in Neu-Ulm (Germany). The logistics service provider will house the After Sales division of Kögel Trailer Tech GmbH from Burtenbach including the functions distribution, logistics and disposition of spare parts from 2011. From January Honold will be in charge of the complete handling of warehousing logistics for the manufacturer of utilisation vehicles. This includes storage and retrieval of goods, returns management, all order-picking activities and packing services. The first construction stage of MCC III will be implemented with investments at the amount of around EUR 3.5 million. Up to 40 new jobs will be created and a hall offering 5,000 m² of covered area and 17.5 metres light internal height. Kögel Trailer Tech will occupy a part of the new facility, which can be expanded by another two construction stages on demand, to 20,000 m² and 55,000 pallet slots. Honold Logistik employs more than 1,250 persons at 22 locations in Germany, Romania, Russia and China. The currently available warehousing capacity amounts to about 750,000 m².
