Hödlmayr plans further development of its block train concept

New member Johann Keusch aimed to push Hödlmayr International’s rail logistics as rail project manager

Hödlmayr International AG took a step to reinforce its rail logistics competences. The new staff member Johann Keusch is aimed to elaborate the block train concept of the vehicle logistics specialist in his function as rail project manager. The family enterprise based in Schwertberg operates currently three weekly block trains with its own equipment for vehicle transport from Romania to Belgium.

Johann Keusch looks back on more than twelve years of activity as key account manager and sales team leader with Rail Cargo Austria AG. In this function the Lower Austrian from the regional district Amstetten was in charge of the management and leadership of customer and organisation projects such as the reorganisation of the customer service centre. Keusch has lately worked as head of logistics at Rauch Recycling.

Hödlmayr International AG and its subsidiaries in 13 countries generated a turnover at about EUR 150 million with more than 1,200 employees last year. The company group delivers around 750,000 vehicles per year. In six car factories Hödlmayr is acting as releasing agent (also in charge of quality control of new cars). In this segment the annual volume amounts to around 670,000 new cars.
