Honold Logistik expands logistics offering for pharmaceuticals industry

Honold Logistik invests for Teva’s subsidiary Ratiopharm and grows by 100,000 m² high quality warehousing area in 2013

The Honold Logistik group has passed the second construction element of the logistics park in Neu-Ulm to Teva’s subsidiary Ratiopharm. The system is tailored to the requirements of the pharmaceutical industry. The warehouse where 40 jobs will be created, is operated by Honold Contract Logistics, specialising within the Honold Logistik group in contract logistics for healthcare.

Honold Logistik has won customers of the same industry – Paul Hartmann AG and Heraeus Dental. In 2013, the company will grow by around 100,000 m² of logistics space. „With these new locations, we are well-positioned in healthcare logistics and have created a competitive advantage,” says Heiner Matthias Honold managing director.

The logistics center in Neu-Ulm taks into account all pharmaceutical standards. The warehouse will be managed with SAP EWM technology in order to obtain the highest efficiency. In order to meet all standards of Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) in the warehouse, Honold has invested heavily in the interior and in the field of security.

The Honold Logistik group, headquartered in Neu-Ulm (Germany) specialises in the development of logistics real estate and industry logistics. The company employs 1,250 people and has 750,000 m² of warehouse space at 22 locations in Germany, Hungary and Romania, calaiming the company to set the technological benchmark.
