Hoyer takes over Dutch liquid goods specialist ELD

European Liquid Drumming B.V. strengthens service portfolio of Hoyer Group in the Benelux States

By acquiring 100 per cent of the Dutch enterprise ELD European Liquid Drumming B.V. (Oosterhout) the Hamburg based Hoyer Group completes its service portfolio of logistics solutions in the Benelux States. Since 2002 they had been forming a 50:50 joint venture with the Dutch Peterson Group.

ELD offers varied logistics services for liquid goods. This includes filling, packing and dispatch of dangerous goods (classes 3, 6.1, 8 and 9) and non dangerous goods. In the filling facilities goods are filled to IBC, barrels and small containers, which are forwarded either individually or as palletised freight. For barrels warehouses with a capacity of 12,000 units are available. The program comprises also blending of liquid chemicals, which are subsequently filled into units of different sizes from 1 to 1,000 litres, according to customer’s needs. A granted 24 hours service from door to door completes the range of services.

ELD has considerably expanded its capacities in the past years. Currently six filling lines – two of them exclusively for IBC – are available. Their customers are reputable European chemical groups. 30 employees have generated a turnover of around EUR 5 million for the enterprise last year.
