Increased focus on transport safety with TNT Innight
TNT Innight is new partner of the platform for safety transport TNT Innight Austria, a specialist for after-sales logistics, joined the information platform for safety transport “Sicher Transportieren“ – www.sicher-transportieren.at. Together with experts of the AUVA (Austrian Social Insurance for Occupational Risks), the ÖAMTC (Austrian Automotive Association) and the KfV (board for traffic safety), the leading vehicle manufacturers FIAT, Iveco and Humer, the suppliers Sortimo and LogicLine, and the entrepreneurs Berner and Leaseplan launched the platform on the topic of load securing in December 2008. The target of the initiative is to increase transport safety on Austria’s roads, for drivers and the vehicle, as well as for other road users and forwarded goods, which shall arrive undamaged at its destinations. Another important aspect is the protection of the forwarded goods. “Our clients rightly expect that their valuable freight arrives undamaged. Thus the professional securing of the load is a substantial quality factor, particularly in our business,“ TNT Innight Managing Director Thomas Bauer explained the participation in this initiative. They were seeking for new ideas on this issue, but also bring in their own experience in the field of CEP-services to the information platform, he adds in a press release. |
