Industria development completed
Be First has completed Industria, a new multi-storey industrial building that will bring well specified logistics floorspace to East London.
The development in Barking was part of a Local Authority lead scheme, in response to the Greater London Authority’s updated London Plan to encourage ‘industrial intensification’.
The scheme comprises two parallel rectangular wings containing a total of 45 industrial units, arranged around three levels of loading bays and service yards accessed by goods lifts.
JLL and LSH have been appointed to let industrial units ranging from 1,700 to 5,200ft2.
Industria boasts a range of sustainability features, having been built to minimise the required land and carbon by optimising built volume and orientation and by employing a lean structure with energy-efficient services and controls. Industria was built to reach BREEAM Excellent standards, provide 21,000ft2 of photovoltaic solar panels and include green wall landscaping.
