Ingenia to supply a galvanising plant to Indonesia for the first time

The contract was signed and sealed during this March and now Ingenia, the specialist galvanising and special plant builder, has started to deliver its first south-east Asian order. PT Bondi Syad Mulia is completing a new galvanizing plant in Surabaya (Indonesia) with a capacity of approximately 15,000 t/y.

“Two years has elapsed since our first meeting with Suwirja Dinata, the CEO of the Association of Galvanizers Indonesia, at the ASIA-Pacific Trade Fair in Singapore and we are delighted that during this period we have been able to create such a solid basis of trust.” Philipp Roth, Sales Manager, Ingenia.

Mid-October saw the departure of the first turntables for Surabaya, which is the capital of Java Timur Province in the eastern part of the main Indonesian island of Java. This is where since the beginning of the year the contract galvanizer PT Bondi Syad Mulia has been building a new galvanizing plant, which has been designed for an annual capacity of around 15,000t. The new plant will be employed for the galvanizing of both bulk goods and small parts. As a consequence, PT Bondi Syad Mulia will be able to expand its portfolio and raise its productivity. In addition, the new plant will create thirty new jobs in the Region.

Unless there are delays to the construction work, the second part-delivery consisting of centrifuges, filling stations and drive units will be supplied to the Republic of Indonesia at the end of this year.
