Rock-It Cargo acquires two companies; launches new division
Rock-It Cargo has acquired certain assets of Silicon Valley-based Core Logistics and Los Angeles-based BE Logistics. These transactions enable Rock-It Cargo to rapidly expand its service capabilities into Corporate Expedited Logistics. As part of the deal, BE and Core Logistics will be integrated to form Rock-It Cargo’s Corporate Expedited Group. Marketed under the Core Logistics brand name, the new Corporate Expedited Group will handle domestic and international emergency and expedited time-definite freight, including high-value, oversized shipments for the hi-tech industry. BE Logistics‘ former president & CEO Daniel Dvorsky is now the executive vice president for the new group, while Core Logistics‘ former CEO Daryl Miller is now vice president and division head. Philadelphia-based Rock-It Cargo specialises in handling complex itineraries, international destinations, fragile cargo and time-sensitive schedules for the global music touring and live events industries. During the past ten years, the company has expanded into complementary non-touring logistics markets, including industrial projects, corporate events, sports events, theatre, trade shows and fine art.
