Innofreight implements major project on behalf of Fortum in Sweden

Innofreight constructs on behalf of Fortum an unloading station for WoodTainers in Stockholm for Scandinavia’s biggest biomass power plant
 
The Styrian Innofreight group is implementing a new major project in Scandinavia. The enterprise was engaged by the Fortum Group, a Finish power supplier, to construct a stationary unloading station for WoodTainner XXL, for a new biomass power plant in Stockholm, which shall start operation in February 2016.
 
„The facility in Sweden is the next stage of the container tilting facility at the cellulose plant in Pöls and will be able to unload up to 12,000m³ biomass per day in single-man operation mode. It will be built into a multifunctional building, which serves also for unloading of trucks, and protects the environment from noise and dust“, Innofreight informs in a mailing.
 
Fortum uses the many years of experience of the Innofreight group in biomass logistics. Today about 6,000 WoodTainer are used to carry wood chips in Europe. This makes Innofreight the market leader.
