New special service for long goods with ELVIS Part Loads

Part loads sytem of ELVIS AG is now also available for packages of up to six meters and a maximum of 12-ton shipments

The ELVIS Part Load Network added a special service for long goods to its portfolio. Shippers can use the part loads system of ELVIS AG for up to six meters-packages as of now. The new 11,000 ² hub in Knüllwald, Hesse, allows for safe and fast handling of truck part loads, including heavy and bulky goods. The time-definite delivery of consignments is provided through the connected European network with more than 100 partners and over 12,000 trucks in 20 countries.

Jochen Eschborn, CEO of ELVIS AG, sees the extension of the offer as a clear added value for shippers: "Customers can now handle bulky part loads, hasardous or long goods free of damage and much faster. This can save costs and optimise the flow of goods." With the opening of new hub on the A7-motorway, the company created the conditions for a comprehensive system solution for partial loads. Within 24 to 48 hours also long packages could be delivered.

With the Part Load Network the ELVIS Teilladungssystem GmbH has created the basis for the systematic transport of part loads from Germany to any destination in Europe. Efficient throughput at the hub in Knüllwald, loading and unload of trucks is exclusively carried out sideways and at ground level. This also allows handling shipments of up to 12 tonnes and take up to 17 truck parking spaces. "Since we work entirely without ramps, loading docks or truck chains, we can handle loads even faster," explains Jochen Eschborn.

The ELVIS AG (European association of international freight forwarders) is the largest transport network in Europe – and thanks to more than 100 partners at 176 locations in 20 countries – an international full truck load network. Founded in 2006, the cooperation has a fleet of more than 12,000 trucks, which move around 6 million tonnes of cargo per month. In addition to the Full Load Network and Volume Load Network with over 2,500 jumbo units,  also the part loads system ELVIS AG contributes to this figure.
