Insolvency case Tatschl to operate under the umbrella of Jöbstl

Jöbstl forwarding takes over forwarding and transport company Tatschl & Söhne from Liezen with the support of the customer Knauf

The Styrian traditional company Tatschl, which has slided into insolvency in December 2012, will now continue operations under the umbrella of the Jöbstl forwarding company. The takeover effective from 1 May 2013 shall save the 100 jobs in the region of Liezen, Styria. This is also the result of the support of the major customer Knauf (construction systems).

Jöbstl plans to invest a total of EUR 5 million into the fleet of 80 vehicles and to secure the location. The main customers are from the construction, glass, automotive and beverages industries and will be able to profit from two brands and a comprehensive product range in the future.

Based in Liezen, the company Tatschl & Söhne Speditions- und Transport Gesellschaft m.b.H., established in 1956, counts among Styria’s major forwarders. Jöbstl has been operating in the transport and forwarding industry for more than 85 years, for four generations. In addition to their headquarters in Wundschuh the Jöbstl forwarding group has branches in Spielfeld, Vienna, Fürnitz and Pichl near Wels, as well as in Slovenia’s capital Ljubljana, in Sibiu (Romania) and in Budapest (Hungary). Their 245 employees generated a turnover of EUR 58.8 million in 2012.
