Opening of recovery proceedings in self-administration for the cargo carrier and warehouse keeper Sterk Transporte (Vorarlberg)

On 16 April recovery proceedings in self-administration about the assets and liabilities of Sterk Transporte GmbH with locations in St. Gallenkirch and Mäder have been opened at the regional court Landesgericht Feldkirch. The insolvency of the company active in transborder cargo transport and warehousing affects about 140 creditors and 17 employees, informs the Austrian association for the protection of creditors KSV 1870. Liabilities amount to EUR 817,000.

According to statements of the indebted company the insolvency was caused by considerable repair costs for the old fleet, the partly low utilisation of the storage capacity, significant increases in diesel prices as well as price dumping for freight costs practiced by competitors abroad. So far the truck fleet had been modernised as a recovery measure; all 12 vehicles are now technologically state-of-the-art.

The recovery plan filed by Sterk Transporte GmbH proposes a 30 per cent-quota, to be paid within two years. The court appointed the lawyer Dr. Marco Fiel (Feldkirch) as redevelopment administrator. registration period for creditors ends on 6 June 2013.
