Quehenberger Logistics buys two CEE-locations from Logwin Solutions

Quehenberger Logistics with two new contract logistics locations  in Hungary and Slovakia with a focus on retail and automotive
 
Quehenberger Logistics promotes the expansion of its contract logistics activities. With two new operating facilities in Hungary and Slovakia which focus on logistics solutions for the retail and automotive business, the Salzburg based company consolidates its presence in Eastern Europe. The locations in Senec, Slovakia and the western Hungarian town of Györ were recently taken over from Logwin Solutions. 
 
Senec with 90 employees and a warehousing space of  5.100 m² complements the existing network with locations in Bratislava, Lozorno and Ruzomberok, where Quehenberger Logistics is represented as a provider of premium transport management and logistics solutions. In total the location in Slovakia employs 145 people. 
 
In Senec the logistics service provider now offers a "cross-docking"-facility, which is mainly used for retail projects. For a major textile logistics franchiser they not only carry out classic warehouse activities but also customised logistics services. This means that the textiles are processed to be ready for sales and labelled with price-, product- and security tags. Then they are transported to the shopping centers in Austria, the Czech Republic, Slovakia and Hungary. Besides the organise the sorting of return shipments for two well-known Austrian newspaper wholesalers and process them for resale. 
 
In Hungary Quehenberger Logistics is already active in Budapest and Györ, primarily in part- and full load transports. The new warehouse with rail connection in the industrial park in Györ which offers 5.600 m2 of warehousing space and employs 22 people, enforces their services in the automotive sector. In Hungary the company mainly acts as inbound logistician for the automotive industry. Besides warehousing and picking they carry out internal transports between the automotive plants. 
 
As medium-sized provider of transport management services, network- and contract logistics in Central and Eastern Europe, Quehenberger Logistics presently employs 2.030 peoplein 85 locations in 17 countries. By their own accounts the company with headquarters in Seewalchen near Salzburg operates the leading, area-wide general cargo network in Austria.
