Intereuropa d.d. (Koper) sells its Chekhov Terminal

Sale of Chekhov Terminal to support financial restructuring of Slovenian company of Intereuropa
 
Intereuropa d.d. signed a sales contract with the Russian company UCTAM LLC RU for the sale of Chekhov Terminal. In accordance with the contract, the total amount of EUR 45 million has been remitted to the pledge creditors (banks). The contract also includes an agreement on sharing the potential profit in case Terminal Chekhov is sold within a period of two years. Furthermore, according to the contract the creditor banks will be able to convert part of the debt to equity. Following the financial restructuring of the shareholding company Intereuropa d.d., the bank creditors will become majority shareholders of Intereuropa d.d.
 
The conclusion of the financial restructuring of the company Intereuropa d.d. was an important step towards assuring the group’s financial stability and a good foundation for further business operations, the company announces in a press statement. Intereuropa group will thus be able to concentrate on further developing and consolidating its position as a leading provider of complete logistic services in Slovenia and south-eastern Europe.
