INTTRA launches NVOCC e-commerce platform

INTTRA has extended its network to enable all forwarders and shippers to benefit from an electronic standardised business process through the INTTRA network, for both LCL and FCL shipments.

With the introduction of INTTRA’s NVOCC e-commerce platform, Antwerp-based ECU Line is now connected to the INTTRA network to receive shipping instructions from shippers.

This follows a successful pilot program earlier this year with ECU Line.

INTTRA’s new NVOCC e-commerce platform is an additional system on top of the existing ECU Line EDI and ECU Web EDI, which has been in operation for many years. ECU Line aims to reach a point where the majority of its shipping transactions are electronic.

According to John DeBenedette, INTTRA vice president, Commercial, 81% of the Top 100 forwarders are connected to INTTRA to streamline their FCL shipment processes with vessel-owning carriers.
