IPP Logipal secures Mackle Petfoods contract

One-way trip pallet specialist, IPP Logipal, has secured a new contract with Ireland-based Mackle Petfoods, to supply a major UK supermarket chain.

Since IPP Logipal’s Portadown distribution depot is located close to its own hub, Mackle collects pallets from the IPP depot using its own fleet of vehicles on empty return legs, helping to reduce its supply chain costs even further, minimise CO₂ emissions and run a more efficient operation.Once deliveries have been made to the retailer’s distribution centres across the UK, IPP Logipal collects the pallets directly and carries out a range of quality control inspections before returning to its national pallet pooling network for re-use.

The operation ensures that a consistent supply of high-quality pallets is maintained.
