Kerry Logistics acquires majority stake in ADCO Shipping & Forwarding
Hong Kong-based Kerry Logistics has acquired a controlling interest in Rotterdam, The Netherlands-based ADCO Shipping & Forwarding. The acquisition strengthens Kerry Logistics‘ platform in northern Europe and complements its existing network of offices across the continent. Founded in 1983, ADCO provides ocean freight forwarding as well as warehousing and distribution services from its warehouse in Rotterdam. "The addition of ADCO to our growing network in Europe will also increase our negotiating power with the sea freight carriers to and from northern Europe," said Gary Wilcock, Kerry Logistics‘ managing director for Europe. He added that Kerry will also able to expand the range of logistics services it offers customers across Holland, Belgium and Germany.
