Kier Property secures planning permission for new Bracknell warehouse

Kier Property has secured planning permission for a new warehouse to be developed on its site in Bracknell, Berkshire.

The new 104,000ft² facility will take the place of a building that was demolished earlier this year on Kier Property’s 5.15-acre Bracknell site – acquired from Reliance Worldwide Corporation in July 2022.

It will target BREEAM ‘Excellent’ certification and an EPC rating of ‘A+’, while aiming for net zero carbon in operation. To achieve this, Kier Property will implement a range of sustainability features including solar panels, rooflights, LED lighting, and a building management system (BMS).

There will also be on-site electric vehicle (EV) charging points and wellbeing features such as breakout spaces and bicycle storage facilities.

Leigh Thomas, Kier Property’s Group Managing Director, said: “We are proud to bring forward our third industrial development in Bracknell, which offers excellent connectivity to both the M3 and M4 motorways.

“The strong sustainability credentials of the scheme are testament to our commitment to deliver cutting-edge buildings which help drive down operational costs for the occupier.”

Kier Property is being advised by CBRE and Hatch Real Estate.
