Kinaxia acquires Mark Thompson Transport

Kinaxia Logistics has acquired Mark Thompson Transport, which is based at Warrington.

Mark Thompson Transport has a fleet of 153 vehicles specialises in through the night deliveries. Its customer base includes Hermes, DX, TNT and Victoria Plum.

The deal, Kinaxia’s eight acquisition, is expected to take Kinaxia’s sales to £95 million a year.

Kinaxia director Peter Fields said: “We are delighted that managing director Mark Thompson will be continuing in his role as well as joining the Kinaxia management team to help us extend his overnight logistics business model across the group.

We anticipate making further investments in the next 12 months and these will be in line with our aim to build a flexible and efficient, service – focused haulage and warehousing group covering the UK.”

Managing Director, Mark Thompson commented: “ We have seen substantial growth over the last five years and are delighted to be joining Kinaxia Logistics. It provides the perfect solution to the question of how to expand and develop our business while maintaining the excellent customer service levels that are in our DNA.”

Other companies within Kinaxia include Bay Freight, William Kirk, NC Cammack & Sons, Foulger Transport, Lambert Brothers Haulage, Panic Transport (Contracts) and Maiden’s of Telford.
