Kuehne + Nagel constructs new warehouse at Port of Duisburg
New distribution centre of Kuehne + Nagel for Germany, Austria and Benelux to start in May 2011
Kuehne + Nagel group is about to implement a new large-scale project at the Port of Duisburg. The duisport group makes available one of the last free premises at logport I at a size of 65,000 sq. m. for the worldwide active transport and logistics service provider. On this plot a new distribution centre with 28,000 sq. m. of covered area will be built, which increases the warehousing capacity to 90,000 square metres. „This commitment gives Duisburg a top position within the worldiwde network of Kuehne + Nagel“, announces Erich Staake, CEO at Duisburger Hafen AG. From May 2011 Kuehne + Nagel assumes the logistic processes at the new distribution centre for a global corporation from the consumer healthcare industry for Germany, Austria and Benelux.
