Kuehne + Nagel remiains Danone’s logistics partner in Poland

Health food specialist Danone extends Logistics contract with Kuehne + Nagel in Poland:

Danone, a company established in the health food business, extends its cooperation agreement with the global logistics provider Kuehne + Nagel for another three and a half years. In Poland, Kuehne + Nagel provides temperature-controlled warehousing and packing logistics services for Danone, using a purpose-built 13,000 m² new facility located in Święcice near Warsaw and the distribution centre in Chorzów (4,000 m²) in the south of the country. Apart from Poland, Kuehne + Nagel provides logistics services to Danone also in France, Ukraine, Brazil and Italy.

The products are delivered from Danone’s factories and picked based on customer orders with modern pick-by-voice technology. Both cargo throughput facilities in Święcice and in Chorzów are temperature-controlled. The operation runs 24 hours per day on 3 shifts. Kuehne + Nagel developed customised interfaces to link its warehouse management system to Danone’s existing IT architecture. In Poland, Kuehne + Nagel operates 18 locations and employs around 1.750 people.
