Kuehne + Nagel targets M&A in Asia Pacific for growth

Kuehne + Nagel is targeting “a new dimension of organic and inorganic growth” for its activities in the Asia Pacific region.

K+N chairman of the board of directors Joerg Wolle, said: “We strongly believe that Asia Pacific will be the driver of the global economic development in the years to come.”

The 3PL is merging its activities in the region with the two current regional managers- Jens Drewes, president of Asia Pacific South and Siew Loong Wong, president of Asia Pacific North – jointly leading developments.

“The joint leadership of the region by two proven executives will prepare the ground for a new dimension of organic and inorganic growth of our networks to even better serve our customers,” Wolle added.

A spokesman for K+N told Logistics Manager: “We pursue an active M&A process worldwide, with a special emphasis on Asia Pacific.”

K+Ns activities in the Asia Pacific region encompasses 265 locations and 10,000 employees and is headquartered in Singapore.
