L.I.T. is again the best logistics partner of Anheuser-Busch InBev in Europe

Accounting for 20 per cent of the transport volume: Beverage logistics provider received the Golden Carrier Award for the second time

L.I.T. Speditions GmbH was prized as the best logistics partner of Anheuser-Busch InBev (AB InBev) in Europe for the second time in a row. The world’s biggest beer brewing company gave the Golden Carrier Award to the logistics company from Brake, Germany. The prize was awarded in the course of the initiative ExTra (Excellence in Transport) at the headquarters of AB InBev in Leuven, Belgium.

Following the success of last year, L.I.T. Speditions GmbH was once again able to convince AB InBev as a transport service provider also in 2015. In particular the sustainable business processes and the promotion of Green Logistics were impressive for the brewery group. “The further presentation of the Golder Carrier Awards to L.I.T. honours the outstanding performance and the integrated sense of service“, said Muamer Asani, Logistics Manager Germany, Switzerland & Austria. The reduction of the CO2 emissions in particular was a joint target of both companies.

Since 2013 the brewery group has been implementing the Excellence in Transport-program (ExTra) in Belgium, Germany, the Netherlands and the UK. Logistics providers and AB InBev are jointly working to integrate processes on the long term and initiate continuous improvements. A special focus lies on safety, quality, environmental management and staff.

The Brake-based beverage logistics company has been cooperating with the beer brewery since November 2005 and accounts from 20 per cent of the transport volume of AB InBev in Germany. About 1.5 million hectoliters are carried by L.I.T. per year. In peak times about 50 trucks are leaving the premises of AB InBev in Bremen per day.
