Land sale could herald brand new 200,000 sq ft warehouse

The sale of the former Crystal Martin site on Kirkby Road in Sutton-In-Ashfield, Nottingham could see its new owner redeveloping the site to provide a brand new logistics warehouse scheme of 200,000 sq ft plus.

The freehold is being marketed by Savills at a guide price of £4.5 million. Set across 11.54 acres, the manufacturing facility comprises 216,347 sq ft of industrial/warehouse and office accommodation. It is prominently located on the A38 mid-way between J28 of the M1 motorway and Mansfield, within a heavily populated mixed use area, with potential for redevelopment, subject to planning permission.

Ian Muxlow, director in the commercial team at Savills Nottingham, said: “The former Crystal Martin site provides a rare opportunity to purchase a significant freehold site in a great location fronting on to two main roads including the busy A38. The property is likely to appeal to a wide range of investors and developers, especially given the number of available buildings and the extent of the land. We have already received interest from a number of different parties due to the prominence of the site and its connectivity to the M1.”
