Leyland SDM chooses Gophr to provide nation-wide same day delivery

Decorating and DIY provider, Leyland SDM has today announced its partnership with last-mile delivery provider Gophr, offering its customers nation-wide, same day delivery.

 Gophr will provide a same day service, using a ship-from-store model, across Leyland’s 33 stores, 7 days a week across all of the retailer’s products, and with no limit on the distance from a store. 

David Edgar, Regional Manager at Leyland SDM said: “Gophr can deliver just about anything, anywhere, which makes them the perfect partner for this new, expanded offering. If a customer wants a box of screws delivered, they send a bike; if they want heavy step ladders, they send a van. As we continue to grow as a business, Gophr will expand with us.”

Adding, Graham Smith, Strategic Account Director at Gophr said: “We’re delighted to be working with Leyland SDM to provide decorating and DIY professionals with the supplies they need.

This new offering is done through Gophr’s front-end booking portal which will be operated directly by Leyland branch staff. Customers can call their nearest store and Leyland staff will process the order for them in as little as a few minutes whilst providing pricing information.

The service also includes tracking links so customers can follow their delivery at every stage and contact their courier directly for updates.
