Liner shipping company Hapag-Lloyd increases rates

Modified prices on Hapag-Lloyd’s routes from Eastern Asia to Europe
 

The future customers of Hapag-Lloyd will be asked to pay more for container shipments from eastern Asia (except Japan) to northern Europe and to the Mediterranean. In a press release the company announced a rate increase of EUR 250 per TEU. The new cost structure will become effective as of 14 December 2009.

The price increase will apply to all shipments from South Korea, Taiwan, Hong Kong, China, Singapore, Malaysia, Indonesia, Thailand, Philippines, Laos, Cambodia, Vietnam, Brunei and the Russian Pacific Coast. Detailed information is available at the Hapag-Lloyd sales offices.
