Linz airport sees slight growth in air freight

Blue danube airport Linz had been able to defy its position as Austria’s biggest regional cargo airport in 2013

Linz airport sees a slight uptrend in cargo transhipment. According to their current press release, in 2013 the air freight volume rose 0.9 per cent year-on-year to 43,357 tonnes. The trend goes up; in December Linz airport registered growth of 15.6 per cent.

In mid-October 2013, the aircargocenter linz had put into operation its fifth cargo terminal. The new cargo hall and its two connected office buildings offers 2,900 m² for warehousing and manipulation, 12 loading bays and 2 sawtooth bays, as well as reserve areas. In total 15,998 m² freight halls, 1,395 m² ULD (container-) halls and 6,330 m² office area is available on 5 terminals in total.
