Lufthansa Cargo aims to achieve 5 per cent growth in 2014

CEO of Lufthansa Cargo AG sees good perspectives for global air freight business in 2014

Lufthansa Cargo has set an ambitious growth target for 2014. “We want to develop above market average“, Dr. Andreas Otto, CEO marketing and sales said to international journalists last week. The objective is 5 per cent growth in transport volume. In this context the LCAG manager emphasised on the airline’s strong position in the German domestic market and on China-Europe trades.

The optimistic expectations of Lufthansa Cargo are among other based on the new Boeing 777 freight aircraft, completing the long-serving MD-11-F fleet. The airline is currently operating two Triple Seven freight aircraft. In March a third aircraft will be put into operation. In summer the fourth unit of the world’s most modern plane is to follow.
