Maersk takes Northwest shed

Danish shipping and logistics firm Maersk has taken a 41,500 ft² pre-let at Network Space’s 206,000 ft² Broadheath scheme in Altrincham.

The development on an 11.5-acre site formerly occupied by trailer manufacturer Cartwright Group will consist of 25 units.

Simon Eaton, Senior Development Manager at Network Space, said: “This is a fantastic pre-let to a multi-national company and represents some 20% of the scheme’s total floor area. Securing Maersk as an anchor tenant in the most prominent unit on site is a fantastic start.”

Network Space has appointed Bansco to deliver the redevelopment of the scheme, which will see a mix of refurbished and new-build properties from 2,100–28,500 ft² targeting BREEAM Very Good and EPC A Ratings.

Savills and B8 Real Estate are the letting agents for Broadheath Network Centre.
