Mercedes Formula 1 team: Pole Position for DB Schenker Logistics

DB Schenker as European logistics partner of the Mercedes AMG Petronas Formula 1 team must show flexibility and „speed“
The Mercedes AMG Petronas Formula 1 team has awarded the contract for its European logistics services for the Formula 1 to DB Schenker Logistics. The four-years contract until 31 December 2018 was signed on 9 February at the Formula 1 team’s headquarters in Brackley, UK.

Within this contract DB Schenker will provide logistics services for all European races, tests and promotional events, including the transportation of the motorhome, racing cars, spare parts, and set up of garage and engineering offices. Five silver Mercedes-Benz Actros tractor units will transport the Silver Arrows race cars. Further DB Schenker-branded vehicles and trailers will be available for the general transport logistics of the racing stable. The first European race will take place on 10 May in Spain.

The transports take place between the Mercedes Benz AMG PETRONAS team’s headquarters in Brackley, UK and the following racing places: Barcelona (Spain), Monaco (Monte Carlo) Spielberg (Austria), Silverstone (Great Britain), Hockenheim and Nürburgring (Germany) Hungaroring (Hungary), Spa-Francorchamps (Belgium) and Monza (Italy).
