Metso Lindemann appoints SKF Logistics

SKF has signed a five-year contract with Metso Lindemann to operate the company’s global wear and spare parts warehouse and distribution.

Effective in July, SKF will supply Metso Lindemann’s customers worldwide, on a daily basis, from a central distribution centre in Tongeren, Belgium.

The implementation will require approximately 1,500 m2 of indoor storage capacity and another 3,000 m2 of outside storage.

Services include inbound operations, warehousing, value added services, customer service activities and outbound operations to worldwide destinations.

The facility will receive almost 2,000 unique product references from the Metso Lindemann factory in Duesseldorf, as well as from external suppliers.

Prior to this agreement SKF Logistics Services was already supplying Metso Mining & Construction Technology with integrated logistics solutions
