Meyer & Meyer takes over central logistics for Olsen

Hamburg-based fashion company Olsen agrees on logistics cooperation with Meyer & Meyer from Osnabrück

Olsen GmbH & Co. KG has awarded its central logistics to the fashion logistician Meyer & Meyer from Osnabrück. From April 2011 the service provider will take over the complete warehouse and logistics management for the worldwide produced finished products of the Hamburg-based fashion company. The managers just signed the relevant agreement for five years. A current logistics agreement is to expire in May 2011.

From next spring Meyer & Meyer will organise warehousing and reverse management for the German and international market. Olsen sells 4.5 million pieces of hanging and folded garments in more than 30 countries and supplies 220 Olsen Stores and Concessions on an international level, as well as 3,000 wholesale customers. In addition to the logistics services for the Olsen brand, from December 2010 Meyer & Meyer takes over the handling of 600,000 pieces of hanging and folded garments of the Rosner brand, which has been part of the Wolff & Olsen Group since the beginning of this year.

“With the new service agreement we want to optimise our delivery times and we believe that with Meyer & Meyer we have found a competent partner at eye level“, Michael Wolff, Managing Director of Olsen, explains. Meyer & Meyer will handle the complete goods at their own logistics centre in Norderstedt and expand the area from 47,000 sq. m. to 53,000 sq. m. by a support construction.
