Nagel-Group to establish subsidiary in Norway

Nagel-Group sets up the new subsidiary Nagel Norge AS to increase the density of the network in Scandinavia

In order to continue increasing the density of the network in Scandinavia, the Nagel-Group will establish a new subsidiary in Norway named Nagel Norge AS with effect from December 1, 2013. Nagel Norge AS is a joint venture between Nagel Danmark A/S and the owners of Frigo Invest AS, Stein Inge Larsen and Erling Ostnes.

The Managing Directors, Erling Ostnes and Morten Kjaergaard will assume the operational responsibility for Nagel Norge AS. Stein Inge Larsen and Erling Ostnes both have many years of experience in the transport and logistics industry. From the base of the joint venture in Aalesund, Erling Ostnesa aims to establish the new company together with the employees as a reliable partner for food logistics in Norway and in the international chilled transport.

Based in Versmold, the Nagel-Group is a specialist for food logistics operating throughout Europe and employing more than 11,000 people at 100 locations in 16 countries. In 2012, the company generated a turnover of Euro 1.6 billion. The subsidiary Nagel Danmark A/S is based in Padborg and has branches in Vejle, Hørning, Struer and Bjæverskov. With approximately 600 employees, Nagel Danmark has recently generated a turnover of DKK 1.0 billion.
