ND Group to purchase MGF assets with EUR 26 million annual revenue
To expand its logistics operations: Norbert Dentressangle announce the signature of an agreement to acquire nine warehouses of MGF Logistique in France
On 5 May 2014, Norbert Dentressangle (ND Group) has signed an offer to purchase the logistics assets of MGF, a subsidiary of the Groupe G7; these consist of nine warehouses in France. The purchase of these assets will become effective by 15 July at the latest.
With a combined total storage area of 174,000 m², and located mainly between the Paris Area, Northern France and the urban areas of Lyon, Toulouse and Marseille these nine warehouses, specialising in logistics services for the Retail, FMCG, Textile and Industrial sectors, generates annual revenues of around EUR 26 million and employs 272 people.
Hervé Montjotin, Chairman of the Executive Board ND Group, made the following comments on this planned acquisition: “This transaction is in keeping with the planned expansion of our logistics operations in France, as it enables us to boost our ties with major long-standing customers, and paves the way towards new commercial successes. Norbert Dentressangle has chosen to invest in France, to consolidate its market-leading position in this, its traditional market, and to enable further growth in the Industrial, Retail, FMCG and Textile sectors. As this transaction is in keeping with planned expansion, we are in a position to guarantee the future of the jobs at all the purchased facilities”.
