Neele-Vat Logistics unites the best of two worlds

Dutch competition authority gives green light for the Neele-Vat Logistics joint venture; even wider service range for customers

The Neele-Vat Logistics joint venture has become real. The Dutch Authority for Consumers and Markets (ACM) has approved the merger of the two transport and logistics companies. The new, combined family business can now start working and approach its target to offer its customers a better and wider range of services in the future.

As a first step they leased 5,000 m2 additional warehouse capacity next to the headquarters at the Distripark Eemhaven in Rotterdam. The company will also receive 12 new semitrailers shortly.

Neele-Vat Logistics has over 500 members of staff, 20 branches with more than 150,000m² storage area and a turnover of more than EUR 230 million per annum. With this merger the enterprise will be able to provide its customers throughout Europe with high quality transport and distribution solutions. Therefore the joint venture partners Neele Logistics and VAT Logistics joined their networks.

Immediately after the ACM’s approval Neele-Vat Logistics has internally started to join business units, develop a new website (www.neelevat.com) and to implement a new corporate appearance, which will be further developed in the next months.

Ron Neele, General Manager, says: „Neele-Vat Logistics aims to provide its customers the best of two worlds – a comprehensive and dense European network for transport and distribution, together with personal services through confidant contact persons.“

Cuno Vat, Member of the management board: „The individual attention and flexibility, which is characteristic for family enterprises, will be combined among other things with high quality IT solutions at Neele-Vat Logistics.“
