NEW AMI SPOT RATE DESK FOR LAX
AMI – the world’s largest trade-only airfreight wholesaler – has launched a Spot Rate Desk at its Los Angeles sales office. The move follows the successful opening of AMI Spot Rate Desks in the UK in 2006, and New York in early 2008; both have made a significant impact on overall business levels. AMI Los Angeles currently accounts for 30% of AMI’s US-originating business, and the company is optimistic that traffic levels will enjoy a similar boost from the availability of dynamic pricing. AMI plans to introduce similar spot rate operations in Chicago and Atlanta in the coming months. AMI is the world’s largest trade-only airfreight wholesaler, with 13 owned bases in Australia, New Zealand, the USA, UK, Germany and South Africa.
