New cargo chief for Dover

Nik Scott-Gray, chief executive of Montrose Port Authority, is to become general manager for Port of Dover Cargo in July.

This year, the port is opening  a multi-purpose cargo terminal as part of its £250 million Dover Western Docks Revival development.

Barbara Buczek, Dover’s chief commercial officer said: “This is a very exciting year for the long-term future of our cargo business. Since the arrival of Geest in early 2018, we have already seen a 38.6 per cent increase in ship import tonnage and an 8 per cent increase in ship calls.”
