New chief to drive growth at Gett Delivery

Gett Delivery, the on-demand delivery service from the app Gett, has appointed Malte Poppensieker, former senior manager of AmazonFresh, as head of UK delivery.

As well as providing on-demand courier services, Gett Delivery offers delivery as a service (DaaS) to retailers and logistics businesses for same day pick up and deliveries, returns and improving last mile delivery.

Poppensieker will be responsible for ensuring that Gett Delivery’s upcoming projects will be delivered to the firm’s clients and partners successfully, while maintaining profitability. This will involve putting in place the correct processes ahead of the future rollout of the on-demand courier service into additional London zones and cities in the UK, where Gett’s taxi hailing business is already in operation.
