New direct train by Kombiverkehr KG to Slovenia

Kombiverkehr KG (Frankfurt) increases offer on the route between Germany and Southeastern Europe

The European market leader for shifting transportations from road to rail, Kombiverkehr KG, increases the offering on the route between Germany and Southeastern Europe. Responding to the continuously rising demand for transportations, the enterprise has started a new train on 11 January and increased the capacity on three more connections.

The new direct train operates with immediate effect twice per week between Ludwigshafen (KTL) and Slovenia’s capital Ljubljana. It completes the departures on this route with the option for change in Munich. This increases the total of weekly departures between Ludwigshafen and Ljubljana in both directions from five to seven. Moreover capacities on the daily routes from and to Ljubljana become available, which will be offered from Duisburg, Cologne and Munich.

“By consolidating our intermodal offering we will be able to eliminate the bottlenecks that arose from big increases in demand in the past weeks“, says Kombiverkehr manager Robert Breuhahn. According to him the increased capacities and new direct train will be a benefit to forwarders and transport companies, who send consignments from and to Slovenia and its neighbouring countries, but also customers active in traffic with Turkey. Together with its partner Adria Kombi, Kombiverkehr operates a direct train between Ljubljana and the Istanbul terminal Halkali three times per week.
