New headquarters for Wiener Lokalbahnen Cargo

Wiener Lokalbahnen Cargo GmbH (WLC) to move from Anton Baumgartner Straße to the Port of Vienna Freudenau in early December

The management board of Wiener Lokalbahnen Cargo GmbH (WLC), formed by Mag. Christian Hann and Gerald Retscher, announced their decision to relocate the company’s headquarters in a letter to its customers and business partners. From 1 December 2014, the headquarters of private rail freight company will be located at the address Freudenauer Hafenstraße 8-10 in A-1020 Vienna. The phone numbers and e-mail addresses will remain unchanged.

Wiener Lokalbahnen Cargo primarily organises block train transports across Europe. Its core business with a share of 75 per cent is combined transport. Wagonload traffic accounts for 25 per cent of the transportation services, including products such as cars, chemicals and mineral oil products, grain and coal. In 2013, the company operated 4,200 cargo trains carrying around 3.2 million tonnes of goods, resulting in a turnover of EUR 60 million.
