New national company of Gefco in Bulgaria
Gefco’s national company organises exclusively national distribution of Peugeot in Bulgaria
The Gefco Group has strengthened its presence in Central and Eastern Europe. The French logistics service provider has recently opened a national company based in Bulgaria’s capital Sofia. Gefco Bulgaria will be headed by Aleksander Raczynski.
The Bulgarian branch has 14 employees and specialises in services for automotive logistics. Thanks to its geographic situation Bulgaria is a hub between Western Europe, Turkey and the Middle East, which is an advantage for automotive transport in Europe. In addition Gefco Bulgaria has an automotive centre in Lozen, south-eastern of Sofia, where vehicles are collected before delivery.
The first customer of Gefco’s Bulgarian company is Sofia France Auto (SFA), the official importer of Peugeot in Bulgaria. In the frame of this contract Gefco Bulgaria acts as the exclusive logistics partner for vehicles marketed by SFA and distributes them in the national market. Moreover the national company counts Citroën, Volkswagen and General Motors among their customers. For the future Gefco Bulgaria plans to expand its overseas activities, in particular the sea transport between Bulgaria and countries in the Middle and Far East.
