New / upgraded ocean services

Evergreen, Wan Hai and Interasia Lines launch a Taiwan-Madras Trunk service; Swire Shipping upgrades it South East Asia service.
 

Evergreen Line, Wan Hai Line and Interasia Lines will launch a weekly Taiwan-Madras Trunk (TMT) service on April 29th from the port of Taichung.

This will be the first time that Evergreen Line calls at a port in East India.

The 28-day service will call at: Taichung > Keelung > Hong Kong > Hong Kong (MID stream) > Nansha > Shekou > Port Klang > Chennai > Penang > Port Klang > Singapore > Yantian > Hong Kong > Taichung.

Evergreen and Inerasia Lines will each deploy one ship on this service, Wan Hai Line will deploy two.

Swire Shipping will upgrade coverage of Port Moresby on its South East Asia service, effective late-April.

By adding an extra 1,100 TEU vessel to the shuttle service, the frequency of calls between South East Asia and Port Moresby will improve from eighteen days to nine days.

  • South East Asia direct ports of call: Map Ta Phut, Jakarta, Singapore, Port Klang
  • PNG direct ports of call: Port Moresby, Kimbe, Alotau, Madang, Kavieng, Oro Bay, Lihir
  • Transhipment services: other South East Asian, European & Sub-continent ports serviced via Singapore
