Norbert Dentressangle’s first hybrid trucks hit the road

Committed to finding more sustainable delivery solutions, Norbert Dentressangle’s first hybrid trucks, 19-ton Renault Premium Distribution vehicles, have taken to the roads of Paris and Lyon in France.

Norbert Dentressangle is evaluating the operational effectiveness of the hybrid trucks.
Later this year, the company will also conduct trials in London to compare performance with diesel models by running a similar 6×2 rear steer vehicle.
The hybrid vehicles deliver a significant reduction in fuel consumption of around 20%, and are quieter than their normal counterparts.

With 310ps on tap, automatic idle cut-out and quick restart, the vehicles are particularly suitable for distribution activities in urban areas.

In Paris, Norbert Dentressangle will use the trucks to make deliveries for the Carrefour group.
