Normed Line serves Neustädter Hafen in Bremen

Since mid-April the ships of Normed Line, a shipping company, have been calling the Neustädter Hafen port in Bremen. At the terminal operated by BLG Cargo Logistics GmbH, the ships are loading 70-tonnes double-deck trucks from the manufacturer Bombardier Transportation GmbH from Görlitz. In the coming months, a total of 60 cars will be delivered by rail in Bremen and then shipped to Ashdod, Israel in some separate deliveries. COLI Schiffahrt & Transport Bremen GmbH, a shipping broker, is responsible for the shipping.

The first departure towards the Eastern Mediterranean took place in the middle of April, using the multi-purpose cargo vessel “Normed Antwerp”, followed by “Norjan” in early May. Apart from Bombardier Transportation, the ships used also offer interesting shipping options to freight forwarders and industrial customers from the Neustädter Hafen to the eastern Mediterranean.

On the route from Bremen to Ashdod, the Normed shipping company serves also other stations on demand, for example Alexandria, Egypt, or Turkish Mediterranean ports. In the focus of the shipping company is on general and heavy cargo as well as steel products.

Bombardier, COLI and BLG have been cooperating previously: In recent years they shipped numerous double-deck vehicles to Israel, were they are used for local transport services. The positive experiences of the partners involved with past shipments were also decisive in the choice of the Neustädter Hafen.
