Norway Post acquires Swedish logistics companies

Norway Post has strengthened its position in the Nordic logistics market by buying IntertranspedIA and Ytrans, two Swedish logistics companies, and integrating them with CombiTrans AB.

"This acquisition is part of the Group’s strategic focus on Sweden and means we are strengthening our position in cross-border transport to and from the Nordic region," says Dag Mejdell, the President and CEO of Norway Post.

IntertranspedIA was established in 2000 and bought its subsidiary, Ytrans, in 2007. These companies provide single-consignment, part-load and full-load transport services to Central and Eastern Europe as well as to Turkey.

The acquisition is subject to the approval of the Competition Authorities.
